You might be saying to yourself “it’s hard to get to the gym right now, I’m so busy” and that’s exactly why you need to be purposeful about getting your workout in.
If “gym life” isn’t a part of your life yet, this time of year can bring feelings of overwhelm and defeat, but don’t fall victim.
You do have control and you can keep up your routine!
Look at your calendar and see where obstacles might derail you. Pre-decide that you are going to exercise no matter what, even if it’s a modified version of what you normally do. Giving myself permission for modified workouts is what really helps me stay consistent during busy periods.
You can also take control by saying “No” to things that align with your goals or values. If you feel obligated to go to parties and gatherings, perhaps this is the year to claim your independence, but if you can’t completely cut out those types of events, you can still decide to eat well and leave early so that you can get to bed on time and not feel bloated and stuffed.
It definitely takes more effort to lift and do cardio and walking during December, but by being purposeful with your planning, you can still get through the month feeling great!
If you need a little help with accountability I have a special offer: December for $1! I know it’s an expensive month already and you might be traveling and can’t make every session, so that is why I am offering this. Reply back with Dec for $1 in the subject line for more info.
